Overland Chauffeured Services, a Leawood business specializing in corporate, group and leisure ground transportation services both locally and in over 350 cities worldwide, is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Development Center - Midwest, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
“We are very excited to have completed the WBENC certification process. Many of our corporate accounts have been encouraging us to get certified so this will help them meet their subcontracting goals. In addition, we expect to open more doors both with large corporations and federal agencies for new business. I definitely look forward to the educational programs, networking opportunities and mentorship that will also be available to us”, stated Diane Forgy, President/CEO of Overland Chauffeured Services.
WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the Women’s Business Development Center - Midwest is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs.
