“In her 10 years with Shawnee Mission Health, Ashley has created
long-lasting relationships between our organization and the community at
large,” said SMH’s Vice President of Ambulatory Development Robin Harrold. “Her
leadership will be an integral part of growing our Overland Park campus.”
SMH – Overland Park opened in the BluHawk development at 159th
Street and 69 Highway in early 2017. The campus includes an emergency
department, lab, imaging center and a medical office building that houses
primary care, physical therapy, women’s imaging and various other specialties. SMH
was one of the first businesses to open in the BluHawk development, which also
includes Cosentino’s Market, retail, restaurants, public safety and single- and
multi-family residences. A civic and community center, indoor sports complex,
hotel and Cosmosphere Innovation Space are proposed for the next phase of the
development.
