SevenDays - Make A Ripple, Change the World
At the Leawood City Council meeting on April 2, 2018, Leawood Mayor Peggy Dunn issued a proclamation to raise awareness of the activities surrounding SevenDays - Make a Ripple, Change the World.
The seven days of events focus on activities to overcome hatred, bigotry and ignorance, with acts of kindness. The first event is on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 and is a celebration discussion by clergy from various faiths, together with songs performed by songwriting competition finalists. Other events include a Discover Diversity Dinner to sample traditional dishes from different faiths and cultures and a Community Walk at the National World War 1 Museum and Memorial on April 16.
This week-long event was founded in memory of Dr. William Corporon, Reat Underwood, and Terri LaManno whose lives were tragically taken on April 13, 2014. To learn more about this annual event and ways you can get involved, visit www.givesevendays.org
