Leawood Fine Art is delighted to welcome their newest artist, Katherine Morris.
Gladstone, Missouri native and local artist, Katherine Morris, is a graduate from the Kansas City Art Institute.
In 2005 she started her experimentation’s with applique and soft sculptures. Soon after graduating she took part in the Crossroads arts district exhibiting in several galleries as well as opening her own gallery for a brief time.
Due to the unusual use of textiles she has been featured in the Kansas City Star, the Pitch and Review magazines. The evocative crescent form has been intriguing people for thousands of years. Ms. Morris' techniques give this shape a new life and communicate to a deeper collective recognition.
Be sure to stop by Leawood Fine Art to see more of Katherine's Crescent Sculptures in person. They are all soft sculptures and make a great accent to any space.
