Flight Surgeon Returns to Kansas City to Practice Medicine

(Kansas City, MO – July 11, 2018) Dr. Jeffrey Althoff is returning to the St. Joseph Medical Staff after serving four years as an Air Force flight surgeon with the 334th Fighter Squadron.  

Dr. Althoff joined the St. Joseph Medical Center medical staff in 1992 as an Emergency Physician.  After additional training in Hyperbaric Medicine, he began working as a Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine physician in 1993.  He served as Medical Director for Hyperbaric Oxygen Kansas City through 2012.  During that time, he also served as Medical Staff Vice President and then President at Kindred Hospital Kansas City.  Dr. Althoff will also continue to serve as an F-15E flight surgeon as member of the USAF Reserves in North Carolina.
