Become More Involved with the Chamber - Join a Committee
11/07/2018 12:07 PM

Are you interested in becoming more involved in the Chamber, while expanding your network of connections?

If so, you might consider joining a committee. With varying responsibilities, time commitments and missions, there is an opportunity that is a perfect fit for you and will be sure to align with your goals.

In exchange for your time and talent, you will build valuable connections with fellow business leaders and help guide the chamber to fulfil its mission – “To provide members with a meaningful voice in the community and to maximize members’ opportunities to enjoy business success”

Below are some of the committee opportunities within the Chamber:

Ambassador Committee

This committee is the “visible” public relations arm of the Chamber. They assist in growing the Chamber’s membership through membership recruitment, retention and provide appropriate Chamber representation at all of our events.

If you’re interested in becoming a member of the Ambassador Committee, please contact Angela Davidson at

Programming Committee

This committee works with chamber staff to design, market and implement a successful programming schedule, based on member’s needs. The committee helps in selecting topics and speakers, and recruiting individuals for presentations on appropriate and current business issues. For more information, contact Deanna Glazebrook at

Young Professionals Committee

This committee serves to coordinate and execute events for young professionals between the ages of 21-39. The committee seeks to foster the engagement of member business young professionals in the Leawood Chamber. Young professionals will become future business leaders, and their engagement in the health and growth of the Chamber is crucial.
