The Kansas City City Council, upon the recommendation of the KCI Airport Committee members, voted in favor of an ordinance approving agreements with the developer Edgemoor Infrastructure and Real Estate, which will facilitate the construction of a new airport.

Edgemoor Infrastructure and Real Estate is represented by Leawood Chamber member Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes shareholders Jim Bowers and Mike White of the Firm’s Land Use and Zoning Practice.

The focus on this new $1.5 billion single-terminal project will now shift to financing and construction, with a completion goal set for early 2023. The Firm’s Public Finance Group led by Kim Spies will assist in this effort.
