Since 1991, the Blue Valley Educational Foundation has provided more than $4 million dollars in grants, scholarships, and special programs to support the Blue Valley School District

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City inspires kids to live out their dreams by providing affordable, accessible opportunities in the urban core. Thanks to our generous supporters, nearly 8,000 local kids get to experience “luxuries” they never thought possible.

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is a faith-based, non-profit organization that serves more than 70,000 people across 21 counties. We welcome and open our hearts to all races, religions and ethnicities. We offer a variety of services to provide hope, help and hospitality to the most vulnerable men, women and children in our community. Nearly 40% of all people served by Catholic Charities are children under the age of 18.


Our services span from the beginning of life to the end of life, and include: pregnancy counseling and adoption, kids summer food programs, food pantries, retail clothing thrift stores, men’s homeless shelter, case management services, direct financial assistance, housing/rent assistance, financial literacy & education, employment search, refugee resettlement, asset development, payday loan refinance programs and several senior care services, including Catholic Community Hospice.

Our geographic service footprint represents nearly 60% of the population in the state of Kansas, with Emergency Assistance Centers in Kansas City, Kansas, Overland Park, Olathe, Topeka, Lawrence, Leavenworth and Atchison. We also operate two mobile resource buses in the northern and southern rural counties.

Cornerstones of Care provides trauma-informed safety and health services for children and families in six areas: education, foster care and adoption, mental and behavioral health, youth support, family support and community trainings.

Nonprofit transitional housing program & temporary shelter that transitions homeless families & youth to self-sufficiency and independent living.

Private school for students grades 1 through 12 with language based learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalulia, and ADHD.

JCDS is an agency of Johnson County Government and provides community-based supports for citizens with developmental disabilities.  These supports enable folks to live, work, and play in our community.

KidsTLC is one of Kansas City’s largest organizations providing children with a continuum of care through innovative and successful psychiatric treatment, community outreach, outpatient behavioral health, autism and wellness programs.  A strong emphasis is on family wellness and preserving the family unit.

The Leawood Lions have served the community for over 50 years as part of the largest and oldest service club in the world.  Lions International was started in 1917 and the Leawood Lions in 1954.  The Leawood Lions are dedicated to humanitarian service and to help safeguard sight and prevent blindness.  Visit for more information.

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other lifesaving aid around the world.

SAFEHOME is Johnson County’s only domestic violence agency.  The mission of SAFEHOME is to break the cycle of domestic violence and partner abuse for victims and their children by providing shelter, advocacy, counseling and prevention education in our community.
